Small vessel leader - captain's exams for boats, jet skis, sailboats

Category A
Professional competence of a small vessel captain of category A, who leads a small vessel without its own engine propulsion with a weight of over 1000 kg including the permitted load and a small vessel with its own engine propulsion with a power of 4 kW to 20 kW.

Category B
Professional competence of a category B small craft skipper who steers a small self-propelled craft with a power output of over 20 kW.

The content of the theory is:

• European legislation for navigation on inland waterways CEVNI
• Act on Inland Navigation of the Slovak Republic 338,
• Safety, navigational geography, navigational science, basics of meteorology, shipbuilding, ship's machinery systems, vessel equipment.

Practical part of the course:
takes place on the Danube, on our vessels, in still and flowing waters, after completing the theoretical part of the course.

The content of the practical part is:

• preparation and planning of the voyage
• inspection of the vessel and equipment
• tying and rope work
• standing, control, maneuvering, anchoring
• rescue and use of lifesaving equipment
• simulation of emergency situations such as engine failure in the current, man overboard, sinking vessel

Friday 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The price for the course is final.

The price includes: study material approved by the ŠPS, aids, educational rides (navigation from the arm to the river, navigation along the river, crossing bridges, landing), refreshments, lunch during the full-day course. Taught by professional instructors.

Additional costs: 42 EUR in stamps (exam fee 32.00 EUR, card issuance 10 EUR)

Additional services:

We offer practical lessons in driving a motorboat and jet ski. For those interested, it is carried out on the Danube and its branches.
